Serious subjects.
Fun on board.

01 / The project

What’s all this about?

Unsinkable Games is a personal games project. Games set mainly in the world of transport and insurance.

Developed without in-depth programming knowledge, built entirely with AI.

Niche. Nerdy. Specialist knowledge meets dry humour. Because it is fun. For me, anyway. Hopefully for you too.

02 / The person behind it

Hello, I’m Michael.

Illustration of Michael wearing aviator sunglasses in front of a harbour, a television tower, a ship and small rubber ducks.

I am a lawyer working in the insurance industry. My work involves trade, logistics, transport and much more. Here, I turn those subjects into playable stories.

Play is a way to explore something new and experience it for yourself. It is also how I approach my training sessions and courses: explaining complex legal issues simply and making them accessible through play. It works well.

Now I have applied that same approach to myself.

I have always been interested in AI, but my background is in a completely different field. I want to learn how to work with it.

And that is exactly what I am doing here. Playing. Experimenting. Staying curious. With something I enjoy.

It works for me. Working on my games has taught me far more about using AI than any death-by-PowerPoint seminar.

Unsinkable Games grew out of that curiosity. It is my personal games project: a place to combine specialist knowledge with humour and try out ideas. To bring together my love of games, affectionate exaggeration and absurdity. And to give something back to an industry that has shaped me and the course of my life.

03 / The AI

A tool, not a quality seal.

Built with GPT 6 / Astra 6.1 from OpenAI. Claude, running Opus 5.5 from Anthropic, acted as a sounding board, idea generator and reviewer.

I have already learnt a great deal along the way. Not least this: a great idea does not automatically make a good game. Stories, decisions and presentation have to prove themselves through play. AI is a tool, not a quality seal.
